RoQ Riffs!! Ya’ll good?!
Figured I’d just start posting my new releases on the headlines because.. it’s my damn site, right?! So, after officially signing on for this year’s A3C festivities out in Atlanta, I was approached about contributing to their annual collaborative album. Of course I said yes. After all, cats like Gibbs, Bronson, Cannibal Ox, Locksmith, Murs, G-Eazy, and more have graced various volumes. So, I hit my dude Slopfunkdust up with a couple ideas and with that, we came with this… “Purpose”. There is a long and storied history to the song and maybe I’ll talk about it one day. But for now, just enjoy the lyrics. Basketball rhythm, junk yard slaps, poetic execution, and cognitive direction all make up what you hear before your eyes.
I decided to embrace the concept of “purpose”. Whether finding your purpose from a surface level or redefining the purpose of those set to ridicule the “less enlightened” folks out there. I think it’s strong and perfectly timed.
